Who are we?

The Private Investor Product Group in Australia sits within the Fixed Income Currency and Commodities area in the Securities Division. We offer superior access to institutional style investments for investors seeking exposure to a diverse set of alternative investments and we offer expertise and flexibility in derivative structuring. In particular, the PIPG business is the alignment of all of the Securities Division's activities across asset classes directed at retail and high net-worth clients, both directly and through distributors, intermediaries and private banks.

Our team also has access to the international experience, knowledge and infrastructure of the broader Goldman Sachs network. This provides us a wider range of product ideas and execution capabilities, and enables us to offer superior service to our clients and to develop more innovative product solutions.

Our broad client base includes retail aggregators, high net-worth individuals and sophisticated wholesale investors.

Our investments are classified into various categories designed to offer investors a choice of innovative and efficient financial products to meet their diverse financial needs and investment strategies. These categories include capital protected products, levered products, enhanced yield products and risk managed products with embedded volatility controls and dynamic rebalancing technologies, as well as post-retirement annuity style products, tailored fund offerings and other bespoke products.

Our investments offer investors the choice of various asset classes they may be interesting in gaining exposure to including equities, commodities, fixed income, foreign exchange and alternative investments, as well as offering a broad range of unique Proprietary Indices designed to call on the leading investment expertise and extensive market knowledge of the global Goldman Sachs network. They can be accessed via a series of delivery mechanisms including Deferred Purchase Agreements, certificates or notes, funds and other designs.

Our innovative investment approach, extensive market knowledge and leading risk identification and management allows us to disaggregate complex risks and provide simple and effective investment solutions, structuring and execution across many markets.
