Flexibility

You can invest your funds in NZ Investment Notes at call ('Call Notes') or for a fixed term ('Term Notes') or by using a combination of the two. Importantly, there are no entry or exit fees. We do not withhold any of your interest that could be taxable.

A detailed statement is sent to you monthly if there has been account activity; otherwise quarterly.

How much do I pay?

Opening your account

It is easy to open your account. You can invest your funds at call, for a fixed term or using a combination of the two.

If you wish to lock in the interest rate for a set period, on some or all of your funds, then you should invest these funds in Term Notes. Where you require ready access to your funds, these should be invested in Call Notes.

Your first investment

Your first investment must be at least NZ$1,000 made payable to 'Goldman Sachs NZ Investment Notes - ___________ (your name)' and sent with a completed Application for Investment form to our Goldman Sachs & Partners New Zealand Limited office in Auckland.

Please note:

• We do not accept payments of cash.
• You must specify a New Zealand address for mailings.
• As the Application for Investment form does not contain a pre-printed interest rate you may insert the applicable interest rate. However, this is optional.
• If applying for Term Notes you must insert the term (number of days or due date).

The interest rate that you receive is the applicable rate on the day we accept your application. For Call Notes this rate may vary during the life of your investment.

If you do not insert the interest rate or term on the Application for Investment form, or insert a rate which is not current on the day we accept your application, you will earn interest at the applicable interest rate. We will advise you of this rate in writing. Investors in Term Notes may request repayment (with accrued interest at the applicable rate) within 14 days of this notification.

Welcome kit

Once we have processed your applications we will send you a welcome kit that contains:

• Details of your account.
• Investment and withdrawal forms.
• Reply-paid envelopes.

If you request the telephone withdrawal facility, your personal identification number (PIN) will be sent separately for your security.

Investing funds

Making additional investments is easy. They can be for any amount and made at our Goldman Sachs & Partners New Zealand Limited office. Alternatively you can mail your cheque to our New Zealand office.

General information on investments

Your funds will earn interest from the day of investment provided we receive them at our Goldman Sachs & Partners New Zealand Limited office by 3pm.
